December 4, 2024 - Tehran, Iran

Women Press Freedom welcomes the temporary release of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi from Evin Prison in Iran due to her urgent medical condition.

She has been released with a three-week suspension of her sentence. Earlier in October, Mohammadi was provided essential hospitalization following nearly nine weeks of denied medical care.

We reiterate our call to drop all charges against her and join the #FreeNarges to call again for her full release.
