Bolivia: Protestors Attack Irene Torrez, Forcing Her to Delete Footage

Women Press Freedom strongly condemns the brutal attack on Cadena A’s Irene Torrez who was beaten while covering a pro-government march in Vila Vila.

A group of men attacked her with sticks, tried to confiscate her phone, and forced her to delete videos. Another reporter from SEO TV was forced to stop broadcasting under threats.

We demand accountability for this attack and urge authorities to uphold press freedom. Violence against journalists must not be tolerated.
