Russia: Authorities Add Foreign Journalists to Wanted List Over Border Crossings

September 12, 2024 - Russia

Russia’s Interior Ministry adds more foreign reporters to its wanted list, accusing them of illegal border crossings. New additions include Italy's Stefania Battistini and Ukrainian journalists Natalya Nagornaya, Olesya Borovik and Diana Butsko

These actions follow bogus criminal cases related to their reporting on Ukrainian offensive in Russia’s Kursk region. Women Press Freedom condemns this misuse of law to target journalists, demands their removal from list and the dropping of all charges against them.
