Italy: WPF Urges Protection for Journalists After New Communist Party's ‘Zionist’ Blacklist

August 23, 2024 - Italy, Rome

Women Press Freedom strongly condemns the blacklist published by Italy's New Communist Party, labeling journalists, politicians, and businesses as 'Zionists.'

Journalists like Fiamma Nirenstein, Monica Maggioni, Nathania Zevi, and others now face risks of violence. This dangerous act could incite hate and antisemitism.

We urge Italian authorities to take immediate action to protect those targeted and ensure accountability for this attack on free speech.
