Mexico: Women Press Freedom Denounces Cyberattacks on Karla Iberia Sánchez and Others

September 3, 2024 - Mexico

Women Press Freedom strongly condemns the cyberattacks targeting Karla Iberia Sánchez and other journalists on X.

These malicious hacks violate privacy, threaten their safety, and undermine press freedom.

Journalists must be able to report without fear of digital harassment or compromise.

We urge X to take immediate action, restore accounts, and safeguard users' privacy. Journalists are vital to democracy; we stand with Karla and those affected.
