Germany: Kili Weber Targeted by Far-Right Group While Shopping

October 15, 2024 - Germany, Saxony

Freelance journalist Kili Weber, who reports on the far-right, was intimidated while shopping in Saxony. A group called her by name and asked if she was alone—a disturbing incident, especially given her efforts to keep her identity private for safety.

This is just the latest in a series of violations she's faced since January.

Women Press Freedom condemns this harassment and demands an end to the targeting of Kili. Journalists must be able to report freely without facing intimidation.
