Women Press Freedom denounces online attacks against Yalilé Loaiza, journalist and president of press freedom organization Fundamedios.
After her reporting on energy crisis & state censorship, over 10 accounts falsely accuse her of being funded by supporters of the former president & Russia. This disinformation campaign seeks to silence her critical voice.
We stand with Yalilé in defending press freedom and fighting these smear tactics.
WPF is outraged by the Turkish drone strike that killed journalists Jihan Belki and Nazim Dashdam near the Tishrin Dam, on the outskirts of Kobani. They were reporting on attacks on the dam when, according to local human rights groups, their vehicle was "directly" targeted.
