Her husband, Mahmoud al-Atmi, who was driving her to the hospital when they were targeted, was critically injured. Palestine: CFWIJ Is Horrified At The Killing Of Journalist Reema Saad And Her Family During IDF Bombardment

Several sources in Gaza who spoke to CFWIJ confirm the killing of Palestinian journalist Reema Saad in a bombing. Reema was killed in her apartment alongside her children and husband when Israeli forces attacked civilian residences in the city of Gaza on Tuesday night. Sources who knew Reema, and had worked alongside her also told the CFWIJ that she was four month pregnant at the time. We are both heartbroken and horrified with her loss.

Acceleration of these events resulted after several days of Israeli armed forces targeting Palestinian civilians following the expulsions orders of Palesitinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.

Cameroon: CFWIJ Condemns The Killing Of Journalist Rebecca Jeme Iyabo In An Ied Attack

The separatist attack on a convoy in Njikwa, the North-West region of Cameroon, resulted in the unfortunate killing of Rebecca Jeme and four military officials. Rebecca, popularly known as Becky Jeme, was the top Divisional Delegate for Communication for Momo. The attack also claimed the lives of four military officials. The news came as a shock to her friends and fellow journalists who described her as a person full of life.

Iraq: Kurdish Journalist, Son And Husband Found Dead In A Car; Police Deem It As A Case Of Double Murder-Suicide

The Coalition For Women In Journalism is devastated to hear about the murder of former Kurdish TV anchor and journalist Lana Mohammed in Sulaimaniyah, Northeastern Iraq. We are equally saddened to find out that her three-year-old son and husband — also a journalist and NRT presenter Amanj Baban — were also found dead with her inside a car. While investigations by police have cited the incident as a double murder-suicide, we urge local authorities to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the killings and clarify what went down at the crime scene.
