Canada: Social Media Platform, Facebook, Censors Ukrainian Journalist, Ustia Stefanchuk. CFWIJ Registers Protest.
Ukrainian journalist, Ustia Stefanchuk, who is now based in Canada recently published a historical testimony, on her Facebook page, about the torture her ancestors were subjected to at the hands of Soviet forces in 1941. Her Facebook page was abruptly taken down after she published her post without any prior warning or notification. Although the page was restored later, the company offered Ustia no explanation regarding which community standard she was in violation of, or what caused her work to be reinstated.
United States: CFWIJ Concerned About The Incessant Online Trolling Towards Journalist Sulome Anderson
Journalist Sulome Anderson has been at the receiving end of vicious online attacks over the past two years. The trolling is especially with regards to her dispute with digital magazine Grayzone. While it is true that Sulome did make some mistakes in the process, she has repeatedly corrected herself and held true to journalistic principles. She took down and apologized for the factual errors that she made in two of her tweets. However, the attacks have remained incessant and personal and have not ceased.
United Kingdom: CFWIJ Condemns The Online Death Threats Against Camilla Tominey
Camilla Tominey, award-winning journalist and associate editor for The Telegraph, received online death threats via email to her website. The journalist shared a screenshot of the email that stated chilling threats to Camila and her children. Camilla primarily covers politics and the Royals for The Telegraph. She believes the death threat might have come from a fan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. CFWIJ condemns the death threats directed at Camilla and her family. We hope cybersecurity authorities will investigate and apprehend the person responsible.
Pakistan: Women Journalists Attacked Online Following Prime Minister's Troubling Remarks On Rape; CFWIJ Condemns The Misogyny Being Encouraged In The Country.
Several women journalists face gendered attacks and threats on Twitter after criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan for his remarks on the rising rates of sexual violence in the country. In a recent interview with an international media outlet, Khan reasserted his misogynistic comments regarding rape in the country, linking the crime to the attire of the survivor.

This has raised anxiety regarding the freedom of press in the region. We also condemn Infowars for actively participating in spreading misinformation about the journalist and releasing her personal contact information on their site.
France: CFWIJ Is Monitoring The Criminal Complaint Filed By Journalist Isabelle Kersimon
French journalist Isabelle Krismon has filed criminal defamation complaints against unknown people who attacked her on social media. The journalist was following the investigation on a political movement “La Printemps Republican”. Her investigative stories were published on 4, 8, and 25th February in an online magazine, Slate.
