İzmir’de gözaltına alındıktan sonra hakkında ev hapsi kararı verilen Etkin Haber Ajansı (ETHA) muhabiri Pınar Gayıp’a yönelik karar kaldırıldı. Gazetecilikte Kadın Koalisyonu (CFWIJ) olarak kararı memnuniyetle karşılıyoruz. Türk yetkililerden yazdığı haberler gerekçe gösterilerek yargılanan, ev hapsinde tutulan ya da tutuklu olan bütün gazetecilerin serbest bırakılmasını talep ediyoruz. Gazetecilik suç değildir.
Turkey: CFWIJ Welcomes Lifted House Arrest Against Journalist Pinar Gayip
The house arrest against Pınar Gayıp, a reporter for the Etkin News Agency (ETHA), was lifted on May 18. The Coalition For Women In Journalism (CFWIJ) welcomes the decision. We demand Turkish authorities to release and acquit all journalists who have been sued, under house arrest or imprisoned over their coverage. Journalism is not a crime.

Around 45 wrongly dismissed journalists took Hurriyet to court today. They were dismissed four months ago.
