Türkiye: CFWIJ Jin News Editörü Roza Metina’ya Yönelik Talep Edilen Hapis Cezasını Kınıyor
Jin News Kürtçe editörü Roza Metina’ya ‘örgüt üyeliği’ suçlamasıyla açılan davanın ikinci duruşması Diyarbakır’da görüldü. Esas hakkında mütalaa sunan dava savcılığı, gazeteciye yönelik 15 yıl hapis cezası talep etti. Mütalaaya karşı savunma yapmak için süre talebini kabul eden mahkeme, duruşmayı 12 Ekim 2021 tarihine erteledi. Gazetecilikte Kadın Koalisyonu (CFWIJ), savcılığın talebini kınıyor. Türk yargısından gazeteci Metina hakkında derhal beraat kararı verilmesini talep ediyoruz.
Turkey: CFWIJ Condemns Requested Prison Sentence Against Jin News Editor Roza Metina
The second hearing of the case against Jin News Kurdish editor Roza Metina was held today in Diyarbakır. The prosecutor gave its opinion to the court and demanded a 15-year prison sentence for the journalist. Upon the request of the defence, the court adjourned the trial until October 12, 2021. The Coalition For Women In Journalism (CFWIJ) condemns the prosecution's request. We demand the Turkish judiciary to acquit the journalist immediately.
