Emails threatening a terrorist attack were sent to hundreds of Ukrainian media outlets, organizations, and institutions, prompting evacuations. Emails specifically named RFE/RL journalists Iryna Sysak, Valeria Yehoshyna, and freelancer Yulia Khymeryk, blaming their activities for the alleged bombings without citing specific actions.

These threats follow the journalists' investigation into how Russian intelligence recruits Ukrainians, including minors, to commit arson against military personnel.
