Syrian State TV news anchor Safaa Ahmed was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Damascus. Women Press Freedom strongly condemns the deliberate targeting and killing of Ahmed and other media professionals by Israel. We call on Israel to immediately halt all attacks on journalists and civilians, and demand full cooperation with the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute potential war crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. Journalists must not be silenced, and the global community is urged to hold Israel accountable for these violations and protect press freedom.
