Women Press Freedom strongly denounces the orchestrated smear campaign and attack on Blerjana Bino, Director of the Centre for Science and Innovation for Development (SciDev), and Osservatorio Balkani Caucaso Transeuropa (OBCT) by the pro-government online tabloid "prapaskena."

Bino was falsely accused of bias in a report on media pluralism allegedly favoring former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha. This deliberate assault aims to stifle independent voices and undermine critical efforts.

Women Press Freedom demands a public apology, accountability, and cessation of attacks on media professionals advocating for press freedom and safeguarding journalists' rights in Albania.
